Claire Rousay is an experimental musician and performer based in Texas.
She has closely collaborated with visual artist Dani Total, who created the visual narrative for her latest album, a softer focus. The title alludes to the meditative dream state of creating, which is well suited to a release which is ethereal, floating between warm and melancholy. The album itself also floats between ambient, electronica, drone and pop.
In this mix, Claire Rousay has combined a selection of vinyl and digital tracks with recontextualized sounds from videos.
