Sheffield’s Hedge Maze has been experimenting with processing sound since a keen-eared youngster. Drawing inspiration from life experiences, Hedge Maze continues to craft and perform (only) self-synthesised sound recordings into arrangements that turn heads, move feet and transform the listeners headspace into a friendlier pasture to live, learn and play. It is these very life experiences which are channelled and called-upon through Hedge Maze’s music creation process; re-lived, re-experienced, and finally torn-up into pieces as a form of sometimes cathartic, sometimes paradoxical, self guided meditation. His playing field is wide and wobbly, producing genre-bending UK bass driven dance floor ecstasy to the beyond.
