Built in Newcastle as part of the infamous and illusive Quest 808 event series, the alias represents the way he believes in music as a means of escaping the confines of every day, drawing inspiration from character Andy Dufresne. A unique blend of glitchy and rhythmic vocal sampling weaves around cascading and raw arpeggiation, glued into place through punchy and classic house percussion greatly inspired by the sounds of Detroit and Chicago. Key musical inspirations include Mr. G, Larry Heard, and Drexciya.
